About this role
It is the responsibility of the housekeeper to properly clean and disinfect all assigned areas including but not limited to resident rooms, apartments/houses, dining rooms, corridors, day rooms, shower / bathrooms, all nurses station and common areas. Standard procedures are to be followed to maintain infection control and sustain hygienic surroundings in a manner that is consistent with policies and regulations.
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- None required, but some work experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
- Ability to accept direction and work well with others; ability to stand, walk, reach, lift, pull, bend and stoop most of the working day.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Uses usual housekeeping equipment including carpet and water vacuums.
- Ability to work with interruptions and sometimes stressful situations.
- Cheerful demeanor.
