About this role
About the Role
Run Monster Run is looking for creative editors who know how to turn animated chaos into scroll-stopping content!
We're talking funny moments, unexpected plot twists, iconic character moments, and clips that make people stop scrolling and send them straight to their friends. Your mission is to take our existing animation, particularly Episode 2, and turn it into short-form videos that people actually want to watch, share, and engage with.
We're not necessarily looking for professional video editors with years of experience. We're looking for people who genuinely enjoy making edits, understand internet culture, and have a good instinct for what makes content entertaining online. Think fan edits, creative cuts, memes, Reels, and the kind of videos that make a fandom come alive.
If you spend your free time editing videos for fun, experimenting with trends, or finding new ways to make existing content more entertaining, this could be right up your alley!
What You'll Do
- Turn existing Run Monster Run animation into engaging, shareable short-form videos, particularly using footage from Episode 2.
- Find the funniest, most surprising, dramatic, or memorable moments and turn them into clips that grab attention.
- Experiment with different editing styles, pacing, hooks, captions, and formats to make each edit as engaging as possible.
- Explore trends, memes, and fan-edit styles that could work well with Run Monster Run's characters and stories.
- Create content that feels native to TikTok and Instagram Reels, with a strong understanding of how people consume and share videos on these platforms.
- Bring your own creative ideas to the table and experiment with different ways to make our animation stand out online.
What We're Looking For
- Experience creating short-form videos, fan edits, Reels, memes, or other social-media-first content.
- A portfolio of edits that showcases your creativity, editing skills, and understanding of what makes content entertaining.
- A strong instinct for identifying engaging moments and turning them into videos people want to watch and share.
- A genuine interest in animation, internet culture, and online fandoms.
- Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and the trends and formats that work well on these platforms.
- Creativity, initiative, and a willingness to experiment with different ideas and editing styles.
