Director of Operations, Partnership Strategy (Job Overview)
Schedule:
As the Director of Operations, Partnership Strategy, you will provide high-level executive oversight and hands-on leadership for the strategic alliance between Legacy Community Health and Houston Methodist. You will serve as the primary operational bridge between both organizations, building trusted relationships with internal departments and external Methodist partners so joint ventures move forward smoothly and successfully.
This meaningful opportunity is designed for a decisive, collaborative leader who can move comfortably between strategic planning and frontline execution. You will bring agility to a fast-paced clinical environment, address complex operational bottlenecks, and transform clinical and financial data into practical strategies that teams can use every day.
Your leadership will support the end-to-end success of Methodist-sponsored multi-specialty clinic developments, clinical residency programs, and large-scale cancer screening grants. Through your work, high-impact initiatives will move efficiently from the boardroom to the exam room—helping expand access to high-quality, cost-effective care for underserved communities, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay.
Why This Role Matters
- Lead a high-profile strategic partnership that strengthens community healthcare delivery.
- Provide operational direction for a $51.5M clinic development portfolio, including Methodist-sponsored locations such as Pasadena and Acres Homes.
- Help ensure clinical programs, residency initiatives, and cancer screening grants achieve meaningful patient and community outcomes.
- Use performance intelligence, financial analysis, and predictive modeling to guide proactive decisions.
- Collaborate with leaders across organizations, departments, and service lines to turn shared goals into measurable results.
- Make a difference in the healthcare ecosystem by improving access, quality, efficiency, and sustainability for underserved populations.
Your Opportunity to Grow and Make a Difference
You will join a team where your perspective, passion for operational excellence, and ability to build relationships are valued. This role gives you the opportunity to shape partnership strategy, strengthen care delivery systems, mentor through collaboration, and create lasting improvements for patients and clinical teams. If you are energized by meaningful work, shared problem-solving, and helping innovative healthcare initiatives thrive, you will find purpose in this position.
Key Responsibilities

- Facilitate weekly coordination meetings covering shared agendas, including clinical program updates, marketing alignment, and community engagement events.
- Represent Legacy on joint steering committees and sub-committees focused on Education & Training, Cancer Reporting, and Clinic Development.
- Guide operational intelligence and resource allocation: Use clinical and operational metrics to identify and advocate for program resources, including specialized staffing and infrastructure support.
- Monitor and reevaluate program goals and site designations to ensure resources are directed toward patient outcomes and grant compliance.
- Standardize operational workflows across shared service lines, including patient navigation pathways and referral processing between hospital and clinic settings.
- Provide program and grant oversight: Deliver high-level operational management for the $51.5M clinic development portfolio, ensuring Methodist-sponsored locations such as Pasadena and Acres Homes achieve strategic objectives.
- Ensure programmatic compliance for multi-year grants by overseeing official guidelines, eligibility criteria, and reporting timelines.
- Coordinate with clinical and operational leadership to support the Family Medicine Residency Program, with a focus on physician scheduling and patient visit volume.
- Provide financial and analytical oversight: Translate clinical, operational, and financial data into actionable insights for Clinic Directors and service line leaders to improve access, productivity, patient outcomes, and cost efficiency.
- Identify performance trends and variations across Methodist-sponsored clinics and programs.
- Partner with operation leaders on root cause analysis, solution development, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Develop executive-level reporting and dashboards that provide clear visibility into performance and support data-driven decision-making, strategic planning, and alignment with organizational and partnership goals.
- Lead advanced analytics and performance intelligence: Develop and own the KPI framework for the Legacy-Methodist partnership, defining benchmarks across access, quality, financial, and grant compliance domains.
- Architect the measurement infrastructure rather than simply reporting on existing metrics.
- Build predictive analysis models to forecast patient volume trends, staffing needs, and grant expenditure trajectories, enabling proactive resource planning across Methodist-sponsored clinic locations.
- Lead cross-site benchmark analysis comparing operational performance across Pasadena, Acres Homes, and other Methodist-sponsored locations.
- Identify top-performing workflows and help scale them across the portfolio.
- Design and maintain grant reporting analytics infrastructure, including outcome dashboards that track eligibility, patient engagement metrics, and funder deliverable milestones against contractual timelines.
