About the role
This role is ideal for a senior engineer who has strong software delivery experience, a practical understanding of complex system integrations, and the ability to turn acquired technology into reliable, maintainable enterprise-grade solutions.
The successful candidate will work across product, engineering, architecture, QA, DevOps, security, and business stakeholders to align inherited AI capabilities with existing enterprise platforms, release processes, engineering standards, and customer delivery commitments.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sr Software Developer, you'll be responsible for:
- Lead hands-on development efforts to integrate acquired AI products, services, APIs, data flows, and engineering assets into the enterprise software delivery ecosystem.
- Design and implement integration solutions that connect AI capabilities with existing enterprise applications, workflows, identity models, data services, monitoring, and release pipelines.
- Partner with architects and product leaders to translate acquisition goals into practical technical roadmaps, delivery milestones, and implementation plans.
- Assess inherited codebases, interfaces, dependencies, test coverage, build processes, and deployment practices to identify integration gaps and delivery risks.
- Build reliable APIs, service interfaces, adapters, automation, and tooling that enable AI-driven features to be delivered consistently through established enterprise software processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to standardize coding practices, branching strategies, release management, CI/CD expectations, quality gates, observability, and operational readiness.
- Support technical due diligence follow-through by documenting integration assumptions, remediation needs, architectural decisions, and delivery dependencies.
- Mentor developers and contribute to design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional software development experience, with demonstrated ownership of complex enterprise software delivery initiatives.
- Strong experience delivering integration solutions across products, platforms, APIs, services, data systems, and enterprise applications.
- Proven ability to work with inherited or acquired software assets, evaluate technical fit, and guide them toward enterprise delivery standards.
- Hands-on experience with modern software engineering practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, source control, release planning, secure development, and production support.
- Ability to work across multiple teams and disciplines to create clarity, remove ambiguity, and drive delivery outcomes.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, interface design, dependency management, versioning, and maintainability.
- Experience documenting technical decisions, integration designs, operational considerations, and delivery plans for both engineering and stakeholder audiences.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
- Experience integrating AI, machine learning, analytics, automation, or decision-support capabilities into enterprise software products.
- Familiarity with enterprise identity, authorization, audit logging, telemetry, compliance, and supportability requirements.
- Experience supporting post-acquisition technology integration, platform consolidation, product rationalization, or migration of engineering practices.
- Comfort working with distributed engineering teams, product managers, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
- Experience improving developer productivity, release reliability, integration test coverage, and operational readiness.
- Hands-on Java development experience, particularly in enterprise application development, service integration, API development, or backend software delivery.
- Firmware or embedded software experience, especially where device-level capabilities must be integrated with enterprise software platforms or management systems.
- Background in building automation, building management systems, industrial controls, IoT-enabled infrastructure, or related operational technology environments.
