About this role

Architectural Sign Detailer

Innovative Environments | Houston, TX

At Innovative Environments, we create custom signage that does more than inform—it makes an impact. We believe exceptional signage requires more than great design; it requires technical expertise, precise detailing, and a thorough understanding of how signs are built and installed.

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Sign Detailer with proven illuminated signage detailing experience to join our team. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who understands the sign industry and can translate design concepts into accurate, fabrication-ready drawings that bring custom signage to life.

You will work on a variety of projects, including multifamily properties, corporate environments, and branded spaces. From illuminated channel letters and cabinet signs to architectural signage systems, you will develop detailed drawings that account for materials, lighting components, fabrication methods, electrical considerations, mounting requirements, and field installation.

The ideal candidate brings practical sign industry knowledge, strong CAD and graphic software skills, and the ability to read and interpret architectural plans. We are looking for someone who understands how signage is designed, detailed, fabricated, and installed—not someone who will need to learn the fundamentals of the sign industry.

If you take pride in producing accurate, buildable drawings and enjoy solving technical challenges in a collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you.
