The Replenishment Specialist partners with Inventory Planning, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Store Operations, and vendors to identify and resolve inventory flow issues, support key selling events, and ensure inventory is positioned to meet store and digital customer demand. This role also maintains replenishment data and system parameters, develops actionable business insights, and contributes to process and system improvements.
What You Will Do
- Execute daily inventory replenishment activities for assigned merchandise categories, stores, or distribution centers to support in-stock and inventory productivity objectives.
- Validate replenishment recommendations by applying business judgment, evaluating unusual demand patterns, and resolving exceptions where automated recommendations require intervention.
- Monitor inventory and replenishment performance using metrics such as in-stock rate, weeks of supply, inventory turns, service level, vendor fill rate, purchase-order status, and inventory exceptions.
- Investigate inventory exceptions that cannot be resolved through automated planning, identify systemic root causes, and recommend improvements.
- Partner with Inventory Planning, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Store Operations, and vendor partners to resolve inventory availability and flow issues.
- Support purchase-order creation and management to ensure inventory arrives at stores and distribution centers in alignment with required delivery dates.
- Coordinate replenishment execution for promotions, product resets, seasonal transitions, new product introductions, and other key business events.
- Support omnichannel inventory availability, including store fulfillment, ship-from-store, pickup, delivery, and digital customer demand.
- Continuously evaluate and refine replenishment parameters, business rules, and planning assumptions to improve inventory performance.
- Interpret system generated insights and communicate business implications, risks, and recommended actions to cross-functional partners.
- Escalate significant inventory risks, supply disruptions, or execution issues to leadership with supporting data and proposed solutions.
- Support replenishment system enhancements, user acceptance testing, process documentation, and implementation activities.
- Follow established inventory controls, replenishment standards, and operating procedures to ensure accurate and consistent execution.
- Identify opportunities to improve replenishment processes, reporting, system utilization, and inventory performance.
- Build working knowledge of assigned merchandise categories, vendor capabilities, retail demand patterns, and end-to-end supply chain operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven retail environment.
Preferred Skills/Education
