We are seeking a compassionate, dependable Home Care Aide to assist a 90-year-old client in Santa Monica with daily activities, companionship, and maintaining independence at home.
Our client would benefit from a caregiver who is patient, personable, and attentive to their daily needs. The ideal candidate enjoys building meaningful connections, engaging in conversation, and providing support while respecting an individual's independence and personal preferences.
What Does a Typical Day Look Like?
- Assist with daily routines, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene as needed.
- Prepare meals, encourage hydration, and help maintain a consistent daily routine.
- Provide companionship through conversation and shared activities.
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and keeping the home environment comfortable.
- Provide mobility assistance and support with everyday activities according to the care plan.
- Accompany the client to appointments or errands when needed.
- Monitor comfort and safety, and communicate any concerns to the agency team.
Who Would Be a Great Fit?
We are looking for someone who understands that excellent caregiving involves more than completing a list of tasks. It requires patience, reliability, kindness, and a genuine interest in helping another person feel comfortable and supported.
Previous caregiving experience is preferred. Candidates must meet agency requirements, have current TB clearance, possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance, and successfully complete required agency training.
