About the Role:

Mollie Stone’s Markets is looking for a Full-Time Step-up Head Clerk at our Tower location. The perfect candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective daily operations of the dairy department, including product receiving, stocking, rotation, merchandising, cleanliness, and customer service. This role supports overall store excellence by maintaining product quality, adhering to food safety standards, and creating an organized, well‑presented department that meets company and regulatory requirements. The position may function as a department lead (Dairy Manager) or support staff (Grocery/ Clerk), depending on store needs.

Essential Functions:

- Effectively manages the store and supervises the employees in absence of Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and Second Assistant.
- Ensures store is secure, properly closed and prepared for the next business day.
- Ensures the store provides and achieves exceptional customer service and all related operational goals and objectives.
- Completes supervisory paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Oversee the processing and stocking of new shipments.
- Handles emergencies and customer complaints.
- Process sales at register.
- Responsible key holder.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Previous experience in grocery.
- Previous experience in a management role-at least one year.
- Ability to give exceptional customer service.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate and execute through others.
- Previous cash handling skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions when necessary and know when to ask for help.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Intermediate computer skills.

Physical Requirements:

- Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent exposure to cold temperatures in refrigerated cases and coolers.
- Ability to operate manual equipment (pallet jack, dolly, box cutter).
- Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day .

Pay Scale:

$30.66/hour depending on industry experience
