Bartender

Champion Hills Club , located in Hendersonville, NC, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Bartender ! Summary:
Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Stocks the bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control and inventory, and maintains inventory records.

- Assists department leaders with the creation of seasonal cocktails and menu development.

- Assists department leaders with the social media schedule and content creation.

- Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products. Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.

- Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.

- Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.

- Performs opening and closing duties, which include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.

- Maintains accountability for checks and cash transactions.

- Utilizes the Point of Sale system.

- Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.

- Serves catered parties from service or portable bars.

- Occasionally serves meals to guests.

- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

- Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Knowledge/Skill:

- Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and current trends in the industry and marketplace.

- Knowledge of cocktail recipes.

- Professional and courteous demeanor.

- Demonstrates a strong commitment to company values.

- Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients, and vendors.

- Fluent in English speaking, writing, and understanding.

- Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems is preferred (e.g., POSITOUCH and MICROS).

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates/Licenses:

- ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

- Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands.

- Regularly reaches with hands and arms.

- Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, tastes, smells, and sits.

- Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds.

- Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
