R1 is seeking a Senior Director, Technical Product Marketing to articulate the technical foundations, architecture, and innovation behind Phare OS, the company's agentic Revenue Operating System. This leader will translate complex platform capabilities into clear, credible narratives for CIOs, CTOs, enterprise architects, data and AI leaders, strategic customers, analysts, investors, and executive stakeholders.
The role is less about owning the market positioning of individual Phare OS solutions and more about explaining how the platform works, why its architecture matters, and how its technical elements create durable value. The Senior Director will connect product architecture to customer and business outcomes while maintaining the depth and precision expected by sophisticated technical audiences.
Working closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Corporate Strategy, Investor Relations, Sales, and portfolio product marketers, this leader will shape platform-level technical content, executive and investor communications, and high-impact product demonstrations. The ideal candidate combines technical fluency, strategic judgment, and exceptional storytelling, with the ability to move comfortably from an architecture discussion with engineers to a boardroom or investor presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Technical platform narrative
- Develop and maintain the technical narrative for Phare OS and its foundational capabilities, including the Data Platform, Phare Intelligence, Payer Atlas, agentic AI, workflow orchestration, interoperability, and command-center experiences.
- Explain how shared data, intelligence, governance, and orchestration work together across the platform, avoiding isolated feature-by-feature storytelling.
- Translate architecture, product roadmaps, and engineering concepts into clear narratives that connect technical design choices to scalability, trust, workflow performance, and customer outcomes.
- Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to ensure technical claims, diagrams, terminology, and proof points are accurate, differentiated, and supportable.
Technical buyer engagement
- Create audience-specific messaging and content for CIOs, CTOs, chief digital officers, enterprise architects, AI and data leaders, security stakeholders, and revenue cycle technology teams.
- Develop technical presentations, architecture overviews, white papers, FAQs, solution briefs, and executive briefings that support evaluation of platform maturity, extensibility, integration, governance, and AI strategy.
- Support strategic customer conversations, executive briefing sessions, technical workshops, and high-value sales engagements where platform depth and credibility are essential.
Investor, analyst, and executive communications
- Partner with Executive Leadership, Corporate Strategy, Finance, and Investor Relations to explain R1's technology strategy, platform investments, innovation roadmap, and sources of technical differentiation.
- Develop concise, evidence-based materials for investor presentations, earnings-support content, board discussions, analyst briefings, and executive thought leadership.
- Build narratives that help non-product audiences understand the relationship between technology investment, platform reuse, product expansion, operational leverage, and long-term enterprise value without overstating product readiness or outcomes.
Product demonstration strategy
- Partner with Product Management, Design, Engineering, and Sales to define the narrative arc for strategic Phare OS demonstrations.
- Transform product demos from feature walkthroughs into coherent stories that show how data, intelligence, agents, workflows, and human expertise work together across the revenue cycle.
- Create reusable demo frameworks, scripts, talk tracks, proof points, and audience-specific variants for customer meetings, executive briefings, analyst sessions, investor events, and industry conferences.
- Establish demo-readiness standards and ensure demonstrations accurately reflect available capabilities, roadmap items, data requirements, and implementation realities.
Launch and portfolio partnership
- Partner with portfolio product marketers on launches and commercialization, providing the technical storyline behind major capabilities, releases, and platform investments.
- Equip sales, enablement, communications, and marketing teams with technically credible content that connects individual products to the broader Phare OS architecture.
- Monitor developments in healthcare AI, agentic systems, data platforms, interoperability, revenue cycle technology, and enterprise software architecture, translating relevant shifts into recommendations for Product and Marketing leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, marketing, business, or a related field; advanced technical or business degree preferred.
- 12+ years of B2B enterprise technology experience, including significant experience in technical product marketing, platform marketing, solution marketing, product strategy, or a closely related function.
- Demonstrated ability to market complex SaaS, cloud, data, analytics, AI, automation, or platform technologies to both technical and executive audiences.
- Working knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, agentic systems, data platforms, APIs, integration patterns, cloud architecture, security, governance, and enterprise software ecosystems.
- Experience developing technical demonstrations and working directly with product managers, engineers, designers, architects, sales engineers, and executive leaders.
- Exceptional writing, presentation, and public-speaking skills, with the judgment to simplify complexity without sacrificing technical accuracy.
- Healthcare technology, payer-provider, or revenue cycle management experience strongly preferred.
Leadership Profile
- Technical translator: earns credibility with product and engineering teams while making complex ideas understandable and relevant.
- Strategic storyteller: connects architecture and innovation to business, customer, and investor value.
- Collaborative operator: influences across functions without relying on direct authority and brings structure to ambiguous, cross-functional work.
- Trusted steward: distinguishes current capability from roadmap vision and builds confidence through precision, transparency, and sound judgment.
Measures of Success
- A clear, consistent, and technically credible Phare OS platform narrative adopted across executive, customer, analyst, and investor communications.
- Higher-quality strategic demos that connect technical capabilities to differentiated customer and business outcomes.
- Stronger engagement and confidence among technical buyers during platform evaluations and executive briefings.
- Improved alignment across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Strategy, and Investor Relations on how R1 communicates its technology investments and roadmap.
