About this role
We have an exciting opportunity for a positive and enthusiastic professional to join our highly skilled underwriting team in Consumer Lines.
Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and analyze risks for new and renewal of Accident & Health (A&H) business in accordance with company guideline
- Review policy wording, endorsements and quotations to ensure alignment with underwriting guidelines and business objectives
- Assess submissions, negotiate terms, and determine appropriate pricing and coverage conditions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with producers to support business retention, encourage new business opportunities, obtain necessary underwriting information, and deliver quality service
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support efficient case handling and service delivery
- Support other ad-hoc business assignments and projects as required
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- At least 5 years of underwriting experience in A&H products
- Proactive, independent, and self-motivated with strong interpersonal skill
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Able to work effectively in a dynamic team environment and contribute to a positive team culture
- Customer-focused with a strong drive for execution
- Strong spoken and written English and Chinese
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Underwriter role
