About this role

At Carma, we’re more than just a car company, we’re on a mission to shake up the Australian automotive industry! As a digital pre-owned car dealership, we’re turning the car buying experience into a hassle-free, seamless journey that customers can truly enjoy. With our diverse and collaborative team managing everything from engineering to marketing and buying to reconditioning in-house, we’re powered by the best people and we’d love for you to come along for the ride.
As a Wheel Repair Technician , you own the cosmetic repair of rims, using the right tools and techniques to deliver high-quality, consistent results. This is an active, hands-on role restoring wheels to showroom standard while supporting the wider team—prior experience is ideal, but full training is provided.

What you’ll be doing:

- Smart Prep & Tracking: Check repair specs before getting stuck in, logging your time against every car to help us maintain peak turnaround times.
- Pro Masking & Prep: Mask and protect all adjacent panels, trim, glass, and surrounding vehicle components before any prep or spray work begins.
- Flawless Rim & Wheel Repairs: Sand, edge, repair, and colour match kerb rash and scuffs on alloy wheels and dress rims to like-new perfection.
- Off-Car Refits: Remove and refit wheel dress covers whenever repairs are completed off the vehicle.
- Quality & Continuous Improvement: Inspect your own finishes against top standards, escalate rework early, and help us find smarter ways to improve our workflows.
- Safety & Workshop Pride: Champion safety and PPE standards, support the wider production crew, and keep our workshop immaculate

Success in this role is defined by wheels restored consistently to showroom standard, repaired safely and efficiently within set turnaround times, and a proactive willingness to support the wider production flow.

Okay, let’s talk about you:

- Ideally, you’ll bring hands-on wheel repair experience—though full training is provided if you have the right baseline skills and drive.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow standardised processes and deliver high-quality finishes consistently.
- Ability to work efficiently within set production times in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt to changing priorities, and build your technical capability over time.
- Proactive safety-first mindset, with the confidence to stop work and raise concerns whenever something isn't safe.
- Reliable, self-motivated team player with solid communication skills and a valid Australian driver’s licence.

In this role you’ll be based in our St Peters, Sydney site, with room for parking and train/ bus stops nearby.

What’s in it for you?

- We wouldn’t be a car business if we didn’t give you some $$ off our Carma cars, parts and NRMA cover.
- Join our high-performing, forward-thinking team and help shake up car buying in Australia.
- Join a team that values quality as much as quantity — we believe in working hard, having fun and delivering an exceptional product.
