About this role
a) Drawing Study & Feasibility Assessment
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T requirements, Process specifications, and customer requirements.
- Assess manufacturability and assembly feasibility, and recommending process sequences.
b) Manufacturing Process Planning & Routing
- Develop and define complete manufacturing process flows, including:
- Operation sequencing
- Tooling(Hand tools/Cutting tools) and equipment selection
- Tooling and fixture requirements
- Inspection and quality control stages
- Prepare Manufacturing Process Sheets (MPS), work instructions, and related production documentation.
c) Structural Assembly Process Knowledge
- Possess strong working knowledge of aerospace structural assembly processes, including:
- Part installation and fitment check
- Alignment and shimming
- Drilling and reaming
- Solid and blind riveting
- Sealant preparation and application
- Special fastener installation
- Torque application and verification
- Adhesive bonding processes
- Dimensional inspection and assembly validation
- Familiarity with aerospace quality and manufacturing standards is preferred.
d) ERP System Knowledge
- Hands-on working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Ability to manage MBOMs, material masters, routings, work orders, and production-related transactions within the ERP environment.
