- Operate laboratory and testing equipment, with a primary focus on tensile strength testing using tensile testers or Universal Testing Machines (UTM).
- Accurately record, document, and organize test results and observations to support material release and manufacturing quality decisions.
- Conduct inspections and measurements using calibrated instrumentation to verify material properties and compliance with specifications.
- Handle and prepare different alloys and metals used in tube manufacturing for tensile testing to evaluate pulling and tension strength before failure.
- Follow established safety protocols and laboratory best practices while working with metals, equipment, and testing instruments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a metals manufacturing environment to communicate test findings and support continuous improvement.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory area, equipment, and tools to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
