About the Team
Join our Aftermarket North America Purchasing team in Guadalajara, Mexico, reporting to the Head of Aftermarket Purchasing Region North America. As part of a highly motivated and competent team, you will support purchasing activities for Commercial Vehicles across North America while working with a global supply base. The team focuses on sustainably driving savings, sourcing excellence, and delivering value for our customers.
What you can look forward to as Regional Senior Sourcing and Technical Purchasing:
- Lead purchasing activities including sourcing, product launches, cost management, and supply base management.
- Establish contractual agreements with suppliers operating globally, regionally, and locally, ensuring competitiveness.
- Manage supplier performance to support purchasing and business objectives.
- Maintain accurate vendor data in the ERP system.
- Identify and evaluate relevant market trends to support purchasing strategies and target achievement.
Your Profile as Regional Senior Sourcing and Technical Purchasing:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Direct Material Purchasing within a manufacturing environment, including technical, commodity, or project purchasing.
- Experience in sourcing, product launches, cost optimization, and supply base management.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents, including drawings, specifications, and engineering changes, and facilitate technical reviews and VAVE activities.
- Knowledge of SAP, Windchill, and project management is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, combined with advanced analytical and negotiation skills.
- Fluent English and Spanish.
- Willingness to travel.
