About this role

Watkins Wellness is hiring a Production Planner to join our Production team!

DISCOVER

If you enjoy bringing order to complexity, balancing customer demand with production capacity, and using data to drive smarter decisions, this could be the opportunity for you.

As a Production Planner, you'll be at the center of operations, partnering with Production, Supply Chain, Sales, Order Fulfillment, Engineering, Quality, Marketing, and Product Management to ensure the right products are built at the right time and in the right quantities. You'll manage production schedules, analyze material and inventory requirements, monitor operational performance, and help keep manufacturing running smoothly.

This role goes beyond transactional planning. You'll leverage data, reporting, KPI tracking, and ERP tools to identify risks, solve problems, and improve planning processes. Success requires someone who is highly analytical, exceptionally detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate brings production planning and scheduling experience, strong Excel and ERP skills, and a passion for continuous improvement. Manufacturing experience is preferred, but we are open to candidates from other planning and scheduling environments who can demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and a proven ability to manage complex plans.

YOUR RIPPLE EFFECT

- Do you enjoy building production plans that keep operations running smoothly? Develop and manage production schedules that align customer demand, inventory targets, manufacturing capacity, and lead times while translating forecasts into executable production plans.
- Can you anticipate challenges before they impact production or service levels? Monitor production schedules, materials, inventory, and operational performance to identify risks, resolve issues, and drive mitigation plans that support on-time delivery and business objectives.
- Are you energized by cross-functional collaboration? Partner with Production, Supply Chain, Sales, Order Fulfillment, Engineering, Quality, Marketing, and Product Management to align planning priorities, support execution, and ensure operational readiness.
- Do you enjoy using data to improve decision-making? Analyze production, inventory, and service-level performance, identify trends and root causes, and translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders and leadership.
- Can you create the visibility teams need to perform at their best? Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, KPIs, and planning metrics that support operational performance, SIOP/IBP activities, and informed decision-making.
- Are you passionate about process improvement and operational excellence? Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage planning activities, support inventory and production transactions, optimize planning parameters, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and overall planning performance.

WHAT YOU BRING

- 5+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain, production control, inventory management, manufacturing operations, or a related planning role. Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Strong production scheduling and planning experience.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations teams.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reporting, analysis, and data modeling.
- ERP/MRP system experience required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a highly organized approach to work.
- Ability to analyze production schedules, materials, inventory, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and risks.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into recommendations for business partners and leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
