This is a Monday - Friday, day shift role.
We are seeking a full time Pharmacy Technician in our outpatient infusion at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for enrolling Cedars-Sinai Medical Center patients in financial assistance programs including infusion co-pay programs. The technician will be responsible for inventory management, identification of manufacturer/foundation grants and coordinating with other departments. All duties are performed independently by the technician under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Educational Requirements:
- High school Diploma/GED required
License/Certification/Registration Requirements:
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
What else are we looking for?
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience with Excel
- Access and reimbursement knowledge of infusion medications
Physical demands:
- Frequent standing; walking, bending; reaching, occasional sitting, pushing & pulling, lifting of materials up to 40 pounds for distances to 10 feet.
- Responsiveness to auditory alarms and communication devices including: telephones, beepers, fire alarms, and mechanical failure alarms.
- Sufficient mobility to access equipment, patients and other customers.
- Able to read information on medication labels .
