Your Impact

Join Leonardo's Radar and Electro Optical (EO) Systems Engineering community and help deliver some of the UK's most advanced sensing and surveillance capabilities.

We are recruiting Systems Engineers with interests in Model Based Systems Engineering across multiple career levels, from engineers developing their MBSE skills through to experienced MBSE practitioners and technical leaders. Working across the full engineering lifecycle, you will apply systems engineering principles and systems thinking to define, analyse, integrate, verify and optimise complex systems that contribute directly to critical defence programmes.

You will work within multidisciplinary teams, using MBSE approaches to improve understanding, communication and decision-making across complex technical challenges. Whether developing architectures, analysing requirements, supporting verification activities or enabling digital engineering transformation, you will help shape the future of Leonardo's Radar and EO capabilities.

Alongside challenging technical work, you will have opportunities to develop your MBSE expertise, broaden your systems engineering knowledge, deepen your domain understanding, grow your leadership skills, and work towards professional registration and Chartership.

Where this vacancy is being recruited across more than one grade, the successful candidate will be appointed to a specific assessed grade, and the applicable salary range will be that associated with the grade of appointment.

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary and specialist engineering teams.
- Contribute to requirements definition, trade studies, design reviews, and engineering decision making.
- Support the continuous improvement of systems engineering processes, tools, and ways of working.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand needs and communicate technical solutions.
- At senior levels, lead work packages, provide technical direction, mentor engineers, and support capability development across the business.
