About this role

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated and organized Service Market Launch Program Manager to lead Service's entry into new markets across Latin America. You will own every step required to open service in a new country, from the moment a market is approved through site selection, permitting, site preparation, and go-live, so that service operations are ready alongside the first customer deliveries. After launch you will help support the field teams with optimizing their business operations in order to scale market growth alongside sales and delivery.

You will be Service's voice in market launch planning, partnering closely with Sales, Delivery, Real Estate, Construction, Legal, and local partners to secure locations, licenses, utilities, and the people, parts, and tools needed to operate. After launch, you will stay close to the field team to close the operational and process gaps that surface in a new market, and you will turn each launch's lessons into a repeatable playbook for the next one.

This role requires a unique combination of program management rigor, hands-on operational execution, comfort navigating local regulatory environments, and full professional fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.

- Own the end-to-end service launch plan for each new Latin American market, from market approval through site selection, permitting, site preparation, go-live, and post-launch stabilization. Engaging as soon as a market is approved: onboard local brokers and partners, schedule site tours, and build the in-country relationships needed to move quickly toward launch
- Lead service site selection and preparation with Real Estate and Construction, including site tours, lease and build-out requirements, utility power and infrastructure, equipment installation, and readiness inspections. Identify and secure every permit, license, and regulatory approval required to operate service in each country, mapping requirements early so nothing is discovered late in the timeline. Capture lessons learned and build a repeatable service market entry playbook
- Build and maintain the service launch readiness checklist: sites and permitting, utilities, staffing and hiring, technician training, tooling and equipment, parts supply and import, service systems, Mobile Service, and roadside and customer support
- Translate launch timelines into realistic service milestones, and give working teams and executives a candid, milestone-level view of readiness, including risks and recovery plans
- Partner with HR and Training teams to hire, onboard, and train the initial service team on Tesla processes and best practices
- After launch, work alongside the field team to identify and close the operational, process, and infrastructure gaps unique to each market, and plan how operations scale as deliveries grow. Lead day-to-day service support for initial customer deliveries, acting as the point of contact for customer escalations
- Identify KPIs for launch readiness and post-launch business performance, and partner with Business Analytics to build the reporting to track them

- Full professional fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, written and spoken, is required
- 5+ years in program management, operations, or launch roles, ideally in new market entry, new site openings, or automotive service; Business, Engineering, or related degree, or equivalent experience. Experience with Tesla, electric vehicles, or launching operations in Latin America is a plus
- Proven track record opening operations in a new market or site, including site selection, build-out, and permitting, against a fixed date. Working knowledge of facility build-out and site infrastructure, including utilities, equipment installation, and safety requirements
- Experience navigating regulatory, permitting, licensing, and import requirements in Latin American countries
- Understanding of how a service operation is staffed, equipped, supplied, and run day to day, and experience leading teams in an operational setting
- Solid foundation in program and change management practices and tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar). Strong analytical skills and evidence-based decision making; comfortable with operational datasets (SQL, Excel) to track readiness and business performance
- Comfortable in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment; able to resolve critical problems quickly and independently, willing to be onsite and hands-on, and able to travel up to 50% within Latin America and to the United States. Able to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority, and to raise risks early and clearly, including when the message is difficult
