About the role

PwC's S&VC M&A Operations team assists both Corporate and Private Equity (PE) clients in a wide range of business critical operational and transformational challenges, driven by Merger and Acquisition (M&A) activity. We advise our clients on deals with values ranging from £50 million to over £100 billion and our clients include some of the most well-known brands and businesses in the world. We have around 200 dynamic and friendly people from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines. We recruit proactively from industry, consulting, private equity and audit to create a blend of relevant experience to support each transaction. We have a team of technology specialists with deep experience and are looking to enhance this team with senior individuals who can lead engagements, develop client relationships and contribute to achieving our ambitious growth goals.

This Senior Manager role has a pre-deal focus. You will lead technology due diligence and pre-deal value creation work, shaping the technology view of a transaction for our clients and deal teams. Depending on the project pipeline and team needs, we may utilise your skills and experience across the whole deal lifecycle, including deal execution and post-deal value creation.

What your days will look like:

- Lead technology due diligence workstreams for private equity and corporate transactions, from scoping and proposal development through to final reporting and SPA/TSA support.
- Advise clients, deal teams, boards and C-suite stakeholders, presenting key findings, risks, opportunities and value creation recommendations to inform investment decisions.
- Assess technology strategy, operating models, architecture, costs and investment requirements, quantifying risks, synergies, standalone costs and business impacts.
- Deliver practical, deal-ready outputs including technology investment theses, value creation plans, synergy assessments and 100-day post-deal roadmaps.
- Manage multiple concurrent engagements and cross-functional teams, while supporting business development, thought leadership, talent development and recruitment initiatives.

This role is for you if:

- Extensive experience leading technology M&A, due diligence and strategy engagements across consulting, private equity and multinational environments, with strong client relationship management skills.
- Proven expertise in IT strategy development, operating model design, and assessment of enterprise technology functions and transformation programmes.
- Deep understanding of enterprise applications and architectures, including ERP, CRM, middleware, eCommerce, management information and industry-specific front-office systems.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience building IT cost models, budgets, synergy assessments, standalone cost analyses and capex investment cases.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing high-performing teams, producing executive-level reports and presentations, driving business development, and making sound decisions under pressure.

What you’ll receive from us:

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.

We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
