- Walk out to operational/manufacturing plant areas to assist employees and troubleshoot issues directly on the floor.
- Provide high-touch support for all staff and executives as needed.
- Maintain and tidy up storage rooms and equipment areas when routine support volume is low.
- Follow all company and facility safety protocols, especially when working in manufacturing or mill operational areas.

- Manage IT equipment inventory, deployment, returns, and disposal.
- Perform physical onsite IT work, such as rack/cabling, UPS checks, equipment swaps, and data center checks.
- Support technology in a manufacturing/production environment, where downtime can impact operations.
Essential Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; courteous, polite, respectful, and eager to help non-technical users in person.
- Dependability: punctual and accountable with a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable going out into operational/manufacturing areas following safety protocols, and eager to gain hands-on technical skills on the job.
- Basic understanding of PC hardware (desktops/laptops) and mobile devices.
- Familiarity with basic troubleshooting (turn on/off, display issues, general software checks).
- Basic networking concepts (Wi-Fi connections, VPN access, cabling).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles, such as retail/helpdesk engineering support, is a strong plus.
- Manufacturing experience, particularly in environments like steel mills, manufacturing plants, semiconductor fabs, warehouses, or other 24/7 operations, is beneficial.
Work Environment The work environment is hands-on and primarily onsite in a manufacturing/production facility.
