About this role

Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer Job Description The Electrical Project Engineer supports a large-scale construction project by bridging the gap between BIM/VDC design teams and field construction operations. This role focuses on translating coordinated electrical models and design documentation into clear, executable plans for field installation, with a major emphasis on developing and coordinating detailed field work packages. The engineer ensures that field supervision and electrical crews receive accurate drawings, sequencing, material information, and construction details so they can execute work safely, efficiently, and correctly. Responsibilities

- Work closely with the electrical BIM/VDC team and field leadership to translate coordinated models and drawings into executable field installation plans.
- Develop, assemble, and maintain electrical work packages for upcoming field activities, including drawings, sequencing, and material information.
- Review BIM models, electrical drawings, specifications, and related project documentation to fully understand upcoming scopes of work.
- Determine how electrical systems will be constructed and installed in the field, including installation approaches and sequencing strategies.
- Ensure field teams receive current drawings, details, and supporting documentation before work begins so installation can proceed without delays.
- Coordinate with BIM/VDC personnel when constructability issues, conflicts, or required changes are identified in the models or drawings.
- Work directly with superintendents, foremen, project managers, and other project stakeholders to resolve technical and constructability questions.
- Assist with RFIs, drawing revisions, submittals, documentation, and change coordination as they relate to field execution.
- Identify potential installation conflicts or missing information early and escalate or resolve issues before they impact construction activities.
- Maintain organized documentation for assigned electrical scopes and work packages to support traceability and efficient project execution.
- Support planning and coordination of upcoming electrical installation activities, helping align field resources, materials, and schedules.
- Contribute to overall project coordination by collaborating with construction management, field engineering, and project engineering teams.

Essential Skills

- Experience with project engineering, project coordination, and construction management in an electrical construction environment.
- Ability to develop and manage work packages, including sequencing, documentation, and coordination with field teams.
- Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting BIM models, electrical drawings, specifications, and related project documentation.
- Experience supporting RFIs, drawing revisions, submittals, and change coordination for construction projects.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with BIM/VDC personnel, superintendents, foremen, project managers, and field crews.
- Organizational skills to maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation for assigned electrical scopes and work packages.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Familiarity with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar BIM and construction documentation platforms.
- Electrical construction engineering, field engineering, or construction project engineering.
- Experience working on large-scale or complex construction projects, such as data centers or similar facilities.
- Ability to identify constructability issues and potential installation conflicts in advance and propose practical solutions.
- Interest in growing within a developing team and division, with the motivation to take on increased responsibility over time.
