About this role
Responsible for the timely execution of risk-based underwriting, claims, and compliance audits in accordance with the annual audit plan and company regulations as well as assisting with other audit matters and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine/review scope of audit in conjunction with audit manager.
- Conduct audit testing of assigned program in established/required timeline to determine program compliance with company policies, procedures, claims and underwriting guidelines.
- Document and communicate findings to audit manager, complete audit checklist(s), and draft comprehensive and complete report of audit findings.
- Engage with other departments as necessary regarding audit findings.
- Stay abreast of underwriting guidelines and regulations as well as claim trends and develop recommendations for audit program as needed.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ethical standards and an ability to act with integrity and objective judgment
- Thorough knowledge of regulations and compliance guidelines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to evaluate risk and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to think critically and analytically, solve problems, and plan and organize activities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively under strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to travel domestically approximately 10% annually
Experience & Education
- 3-5 years financial experience through accounting/auditing preferred or underwriting and/or claims experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
