About this role
Description
Are you passionate about helping customers solve complex technical challenges? Do you thrive at the intersection of business strategy and technology? As a Solutions Architect at Amazon, you will partner directly with customers to design and deliver solutions that address their most pressing needs — from reducing costs and mitigating risk to launching new products and transforming legacy platforms. You will bring together technical depth, creative problem-solving, and strong communication skills to guide customers through their technology journey. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of technical domains, influence long-term technology strategies, and make a measurable impact on customer outcomes.
Key job responsibilities
- Design end-to-end customer solutions that are extensible, secure, reliable, cost-optimized, and performant, shepherding those solutions through the full implementation lifecycle.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, building relationships with senior leaders and ensuring their short-term technology decisions align with long-term business goals.
- Lead technical solution discussions, diving into design choices, best practices, and use cases while proactively identifying and mitigating risks or overly complex approaches.
- Develop and deliver thought leadership content such as presentations, workshops, blog posts, and sample code that educates customers on technology strategy and best practices.
- Gather and translate customer feedback into clear business and technical requirements for product and engineering teams, helping to shape new products, features, and service improvements.
A day in the life
You will start your day reviewing customer architectures and preparing for solution design sessions. Much of your time is spent collaborating with customers to understand their business context, whiteboarding solution options, and evaluating trade-offs. You will also partner with internal teams across sales, engineering, and professional services to ensure the right expertise is brought to each engagement. Between customer interactions, you may be refining a workshop you are delivering next week or contributing a reusable reference design that helps fellow architects accelerate their work.
About the team

We operate in a collaborative, inclusive environment where curiosity is encouraged and knowledge-sharing is a daily practice. If you are excited about working with customers to turn complex challenges into elegant solutions, we would love to hear from you.
