About this role
Together we are Trusted to Serve Scotland.
We are looking for a Project Delivery Information Management Lead (12-month opportunity) to join our Portfolio Change & Enablement team within Capital Investment.
You will support the implementation and embedding of the Project delivery Information Management Strategy, establishing effective governance, standards, controls and ways of working across the capital delivery lifecycle, Common Data Environment (CDE) and wider digital ecosystem.
You will translate information management principles into practical, user-focused ways of working, ensuring information is trusted, well- structured and accessible through consistent metadata, taxonomy and document control. A key part of the role will be leading assurance, process improvement and change, helping teams embed new systems, processes and behaviours into day-to-day delivery.
Working collaboratively across delivery teams, Portfolio Management, digital colleagues and delivery partners, you will bring together different perspectives and requirements, build shared understanding and help establish consistent information management practices across Capital Investment.
What you’ll do
As Information Management Lead, you’ll play a key role in shaping and embedding information management best practice across our capital delivery portfolio. You’ll lead the implementation of robust information governance, standards and controls throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, compliant and accessible information within our Common Data Environment (CDE) and wider digital ecosystem. Working closely with internal teams and delivery partners, you’ll drive the adoption of Autodesk Construction Cloud, support the migration and validation of data from legacy systems such as SharePoint, and help establish consistent ways of working across programmes and projects.
You’ll build strong collaborative relationships to develop practical, joined-up solutions, while championing clear communication, user engagement and training to enhance information management capability across the organisation. You’ll also lead assurance and continuous improvement activities, ensuring alignment with ISO 19650 standards, monitoring performance through KPIs and user feedback, and identifying opportunities to improve adoption, efficiency and service delivery. In addition, you’ll support the integration of information management with wider digital and portfolio management processes, helping to maximise value from our data and digital investments.
What you’ll need
You will be a collaborative and confident change leader, able to influence others and turn project delivery information management requirements into practical ways of working that people understand and adopt.
You will be comfortable working across organisational boundaries, listening to and balancing different perspectives, building trusted relationships and creating alignment around shared outcomes. Strong communication and engagement skills will be important, with the ability to champion information management, and communicate change clearly. You will build trusted relationships and engage confidently with leaders, delivery partners, and teams, adapting your approach to suit different audiences.
You will bring experience in information governance, document management, digital systems or structured operational environments, alongside experience of supporting organisational change, user adoption and embedding new ways of working.
A strong understanding of governance and operational controls, including ISO 19650, is preferential. Experience with CDE or document platforms and relevant information management, governance or change qualifications would be advantageous
