About this role
Position description
As a key member of the Generation Cybersecurity Team, this role supports the Generation Cybersecurity Manager in strengthening cybersecurity resilience, regulatory readiness and process maturity across Generation & Trading.
The role has a primary focus on Trading cyber processes and platforms, while supporting broader Generation cybersecurity priorities where required. It will work closely with OT Cybersecurity, CISO, IT & Digital, Enterprise Services and E&MP teams to support a consistent and scalable cybersecurity capability across IT and OT environments.
The role will help embed cybersecurity requirements into business processes, projects, governance and audit readiness, while recognising that second-line governance, risk and compliance assurance sits within the CISO function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead 1LOD audit and regulatory activities: Coordinate Generation & Trading cybersecurity audits, assessments and regulatory engagements, maintaining clear accountability, consistent evidence standards and continuous readiness.
- Coordinate cybersecurity risk and assurance: Maintain the integrated Generation & Trading Cybersecurity Risk Register and coordinate risks, owners, decisions, actions and assurance activity across Trading IT, Corporate IT dependencies and relevant OT interfaces.
- Deliver cybersecurity programme priorities: Lead defined workstreams within the Generation & Trading Cybersecurity Programme, translating strategy and operating model requirements into practical delivery priorities, reporting and action management.
- Embed cybersecurity into business and project processes: Promote security and compliance by design across asset lifecycle management, trading system changes, projects, digital initiatives, supplier engagements and investment decisions.
- Coordinate supplier and commercial assurance: Lead third-party cybersecurity risk and remediation activities within GT, while supporting cybersecurity input into business cases, regulatory submissions and commercial decisions.
- Improve cybersecurity procedures and incident readiness: Support the development and continuous improvement of practical cybersecurity specifications, procedures and guidance, including incident response planning, testing and lessons learned.
- Provide stakeholder leadership and capability development: Represent Generation Cybersecurity at relevant governance forums, provide clear updates on risk and delivery, and help stakeholders understand requirements and maintain an audit-ready posture.
