- Maintain accurate and consistent portfolio information to support transparency, accountability and effective management oversight.

Planning and Delivery Management

- Support portfolio planning and operational coordination by consolidating financial, resource and performance information.

- Monitor portfolio performance against agreed financial and operational objectives, identifying variances and areas requiring management attention.

- Coordinate with portfolio leads, Business Partner owners and other stakeholders to address emerging concerns and support corrective action planning.

- Support resource allocation and forecasting activities to maintain alignment between portfolio requirements, resource utilisation and financial expectations.

Risk, Issue and Dependency Management

- Identify and monitor operational, financial and data-quality exceptions that may affect portfolio performance, governance or financial control.

- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to investigate discrepancies, resolve outstanding issues and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.

- Escalate material or unresolved concerns through established management channels, providing clear information on the issue, its potential impact and the actions required.

- Promote timely resolution of exceptions through regular monitoring, stakeholder follow-ups and effective action tracking.

Financial and Resource Management

- Support portfolio financial governance through budget monitoring, actuals analysis, forecast reviews and financial variance reporting.

- Consolidate financial information across portfolios, markets, projects and applications to provide visibility of expenditure, budget utilisation and potential cost efficiencies.

- Coordinate resource allocation tracking and reconcile resource-related cost information to support financial accuracy and transparency.

- Monitor resource time booking and allocation information, identifying discrepancies and coordinating corrections with relevant stakeholders.

- Support the identification of cost optimisation opportunities, including the review of application expenditure and resource-related costs.

- Ensure financial and resource management information is accurate, timely and appropriately validated to support governance and management decisions.

Management Information and Reporting

- Deliver accurate and insightful status reporting for senior stakeholders, including dashboards, KPIs and portfolio performance updates.

- Analyse and validate data across workstreams, highlight trends and exceptions, and provide concise management information to support decisions on financial performance and workforce governance.

- Highlight trends, exceptions and emerging concerns rather than simply reporting activity.

- Ensure reporting is tailored to the audience, from detailed working-level information to concise executive summaries.

Stakeholder and Team Collaboration

- Build effective working relationships with Operations Managers, portfolio leads, Business Managers, Tech Leads and other relevant stakeholders.

- Coordinate with technology, finance, workforce management and resource management teams to address portfolio governance and operational matters.

- Drive accountability for outstanding actions through structured follow-ups, appropriate escalation and clear communication of requirements.

- Provide financial and operational insights to portfolio leadership to support planning, performance management and decision-making.

- Facilitate collaboration across stakeholder groups to resolve discrepancies, improve compliance and maintain effective portfolio operations.

- Provide guidance and coaching to PMO analysts and less experienced colleagues.

Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities to simplify reporting, improve governance and increase delivery efficiency.

- Standardise PMO processes, templates and controls where appropriate.

- Use data and lessons learned to improve future programme performance.
