Through close relationships with players, clubs, and leagues, we operate inside the locker room, capturing moments fans never had access to before. About the Role
As Head of Tech & Product, you’re responsible for all technology, product, data and AI at 433. You’re part of the leadership team, report directly to the CEO and develop and drive our strategy across all four.

You own the 433 app, our biggest strategic priority. We recently rebuilt it in Flutter, and now it’s time for the next step. You set the product direction, decide what the app is for and who it serves, and turn it into a product millions of fans want to come back to. Behind it all, you own our data: the foundation leadership relies on to make the right decisions.

You’ll build and lead our Tech & Product team, with leads across the teams. Today we work with an external development partner. You’ll manage that partnership and guide the transition to a lean, permanent in-house team that fully embraces AI, social and app-driven development.

AI is changing how companies work, and we want 433 to lead the way. You make sure everyone at 433 uses AI in their daily work, from editors and designers to commercial and marketing. You’re constantly looking for manual, repetitive work that a smarter tool could take over, and when we can build something faster and better, you make sure we do.

This is not a role where you simply manage a roadmap or oversee delivery. We’re looking for someone who challenges what we build, decides what we should focus on and creates the foundations that help the whole company move faster. You know when to build and when to buy, you choose value over vanity architecture and you keep a sharp eye on what every euro delivers.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

- Technology & Engineering

Own 433’s technology, architecture and engineering standards across the Flutter app, infrastructure and third-party integrations.
- Build and lead a lean in-house engineering core, and guide the transition from our external development partner to a permanent team.
- Make pragmatic build-versus-buy decisions: a lean core, with proven solutions wherever they make more sense.
- Ensure the technology foundation is scalable, reliable and fit for the next phase of 433’s growth.

Product

- Set the app’s product direction together with the CEO and the Content & Growth team: what the app is for, who it serves and where it should go next.
- Bring focus to the roadmap and make sure features are tied to engagement and retention, not just output.
- Challenge assumptions and continuously look for better ways to create value for our audience.

AI, Data & Innovation

- Make AI a core part of how our technology and product teams work — from development and testing to research, analysis and product creation.
- Identify and implement AI tools and workflows that help the team move faster and work smarter.
- Own the data and analytics foundation behind our product and growth decisions.
- Ensure leadership has a reliable understanding of key product metrics, including DAU, retention and audience behaviour.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and identify where they can create a meaningful advantage for 433.

Leadership

- Build a culture of ownership, speed and experimentation across Development, Product, AI, Data and UX/UI, by leading the team.
- Set clear priorities and create alignment across teams.
- Own the 2027 tech and app plan and budget.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a senior tech and product leader who combines strong engineering leadership with sharp product judgement and a genuine AI-first mindset.

You have :

- Senior engineering leadership experience: you’ve built and run teams and shipped consumer-facing mobile products.
- Experience with Flutter or native mobile development is a strong plus.
- A proven track record of product ownership: you’ve set product direction and delivered against board-level expectations.
- Real experience bringing AI into engineering and product workflows. Not just experimenting with AI, but using it to materially improve how teams work.
- Experience managing an external build partner and moving delivery in-house.
- A pragmatic, value-driven approach to architecture, vendors and budget.
- Experience working closely with a CEO and leadership team, translating tech into business terms.
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English. Dutch is a plus.
- A love for our strong office culture and a preference for working at our Amsterdam office with the team on a daily base.

- Amsterdam-based : you live in or around Amsterdam, in order to be at the office daily.
