About this role
Intro
carbmee works with the largest companies in automotive, defense and industrials on some of their hardest data problems. Their transactional data, bills of materials and unstructured data sit in different systems and rarely talk to each other.
The EIS, the Environmental Intelligence System, connects them at item level and runs AI on top: matching items to emission factors, checking data quality and recommending reductions. Where a standard setup isn’t enough, we build custom solutions with the customer. ZF, ZEISS and Maersk use carbmee to make sourcing, product and compliance decisions with numbers they can defend.
The role
Our customers don’t buy software and figure it out alone. You go in with it.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer for North America, you own the technical side of our accounts with the largest US and Canadian companies in automotive, defense and industrials. You’ll be among the first on the ground for carbmee in the region, so there’s no ready-made playbook. You’ll help write it. You support the deal, lead the implementation and configure the solution to the customer’s specific needs.
Expect complex ERP landscapes, global supply chains with tens of thousands of suppliers, and executives who want answers, not dashboards. What you learn there goes straight back into our product.
Your tasks
Support enterprise deals technically , from the first data conversation to the signed contract. Lead implementations end to end : connect multiple enterprise systems, build the data models and configure the EIS. Turn results into C-level language , and present them yourself. Travel to customers in North America for workshops, onsite work and executive reviews. Help define how carbmee deploys in a new market , and feed what you learn back to product and engineering.
Your profile
A degree in engineering, computer science, physics or a comparable quantitative field, with a strong academic record. Strong Python and SQL, and experience structuring complex data models. Experience in a fast-paced environment such as a scale-up, a top consulting firm or an FDE team at a software company. Experience with ERP or PLM systems is a strong plus, as is experience with North American enterprise customers. You’re comfortable building something from zero, and you take ownership of outcomes, not tasks. What we require
