About this role
Level: 4A Salary: £20,800 per annum (£26,000 FTE)
Location: Milestones Museum and Basing House, Basingstoke Hours: 29.6 hours per week Type of Contract: Permanent
Are you a practical and organised facilities professional who enjoys keeping busy venues safe, well maintained and welcoming?
As Facilities Co-ordinator, you will help manage the day-to-day facilities requirements of Milestones Museum and Basing House, two distinctive heritage attractions in Basingstoke.
Acting as the central point of co-ordination for facilities matters across both venues, you will assess and prioritise reported issues, co-ordinate planned and reactive maintenance, arrange contractor visits and help ensure work is completed safely and effectively. You will also undertake routine inspections, maintain accurate facilities and compliance records, support risk assessments and carry out minor maintenance tasks appropriate to your skills and experience.
Working closely with the General Manager, Trust colleagues, suppliers and approved contractors, you will play an important part in maintaining safe, secure, compliant and welcoming venues for our visitors, colleagues and volunteers.
A bit about you
You will have experience of facilities co-ordination, premises support, building maintenance or a comparable operational role. Organised and proactive, you will be comfortable managing competing priorities, following outstanding actions through to completion and co-ordinating activity across more than one location.
You will have practical knowledge of general building maintenance and an understanding of relevant health and safety requirements. You will be confident working with contractors and suppliers, maintaining accurate records and identifying when an issue can be addressed directly or needs to be referred to a specialist.
You will be a clear and effective communicator who can build positive working relationships with colleagues, contractors and other stakeholders. Strong IT skills, attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving will also be important.
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use are required, as the role works across both Milestones Museum and Basing House.
