- Follow departmental protocols for the safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining a clean, safe workplace
- Learn the data center site thoroughly to manage incidents and events that could put critical systems at risk
- Manage work orders through CMMS, coordinate with vendors, and respond to customer-facing tickets
- Work rotating shifts supporting 24/7 operations, with flexibility for holidays, weekends, PTO coverage, and after-hours emergency response
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining critical infrastructure, equipment, and systems, including 1+ year of experience with UPS, emergency generators, switchgear, and chiller plants
- Valid state driver's license, with ability to pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening
- Completion of EPA 608/Universal certification
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and/or Building Management System (BMS), along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders up to 30 ft, navigate rooftops, and work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and on-call emergencies
Preferred qualifications:
- Trade school education, union training, military service, or college education
