About the Role

Grant Thornton is building a world-class Finance & Accounting organization to power decisions, performance, and growth across an increasingly global business. As Associate Director, FP&A Treasury Lead, you will drive cash, capital, and funding planning within FP&A – working closely with the Treasurer, with clear alignment between FP&A and Treasury responsibilitiesto ensure the firm’s budget and forecasts are supported by a clear view of liquidity and the balance sheet.

You will partner with the Head of FP&A on consolidated budgeting and forecasts, extending the P&L view into an integrated cash flow and balance sheet outlook. Together with Treasury and FP&A, you will provide the funding, debt capacity, and liquidity analysis behind the firm’s long-range plan, capital allocation, growth investments, and acquisitions.

This is a high-visibility, highly analytical role with direct exposure to the CFO, the Head of FP&A, the Treasurer, and New Mountain Capital. The mix of Treasury and FP&A work will shift with the firm’s needs – weighted toward Treasury through the current period of acquisitions and financing activity, and expanding across the broader FP&A agenda as the platform scales.

- Partner with the Treasurer on the firm’s debt capital structure and credit facilities – modeling covenant compliance and headroom, supporting lender reporting, and analyzing amendments, extensions, and refinancings.
- Build the funding plan for acquisitions, strategic investments, partner distributions, debt service, and tax – giving leadership a clear view of capacity to act on growth while protecting liquidity.

Cash Forecasting & FP&A Integration

- Develop the firm’s long-range cash forecast and integrate Treasury’s short-term (13-week) view with the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range plan – one connected view of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Lead global working capital analysis and model the drivers of cash conversion in a professional services business, quantifying working capital levers and their impact on liquidity and funding capacity across entities.
- Provide funding, interest expense, balance sheet, and potential EBITDA adjustment inputsto the annual budget andforecasts, and deliver variance analysis and commentary on cash and balance sheet performance.
- Run liquidity scenario planning and stress-testing – downside cases, rate sensitivities, and covenant headroom – to inform decisions by the CFO, Treasurer, and finance leadership.

Strategic Decision Support & Executive Reporting

- Model the cash, capital, and leverage impact of acquisitions, new service lines, pricing changes, and major investments; provide funding and cash flow analysis for deal structuring, diligence, and post-merger integration.
- Support the CFO, Treasurer, and the Head of FP&A with rigorous analysis on capital allocation, debt capacity, and partner and investor return frameworks.
- Prepare cash, liquidity, and balance sheet reporting for the CFO, Treasurer, Board, and New Mountain Capital, contribute to lender materials, and establish repeatable data, reporting, and process discipline across Treasury and FP&A as the combined platform scales.

Qualifications

Required

- 10+ years of progressive experience across FP&A, treasury, corporate finance, or investment banking, including at least 3 years in treasury.
- Deep expertise in liquidity management, credit facilities, and covenant management.
