About this role

Job Summary

The Sr Director, Internet Marketing owns the marketing plan and the commercial strategy for Spectrum's residential Internet portfolio, spanning core internet and access technology, WiFi, the connected home, network security and residential voice. The role sets the audience and segment strategy, the portfolio positioning and the claim strategy, decides where marketing investment goes across the portfolio, and owns the marketing of bringing the Internet portfolio together across the combined footprint. It also leads Spectrum's community impact and digital education work.

Responsibilities

How You’ll Make an Impact

- Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

- Internet growth strategy. Own the commercial strategy for the Internet portfolio: acquisition, retention, mix shift, attach and revenue per household, and the growth goals behind them. Set the annual marketing plan and the launch calendar. Measured on Internet net additions, revenue per household and share.

- Audience and segment strategy . Decide which households the portfolio goes after, size the opportunity in each segment, and set the product, offer and message plan that converts them.

- Portfolio positioning. Own what Spectrum Internet promises customers and the reasons they should believe it. Set the positioning standard the product lines work to, approve what goes to market, and keep the connection story and the services story consistent.

- Product and partnership strategy. Partner with Product Management and Offer Management on what Spectrum builds, buys or partners for across the portfolio, and decide which of those marketing backs. Bring market demand and competitive gaps into the roadmap, and sequence what gets committed into the plan, with owners and dates.

- Competitive strategy. Set the posture against fiber, fixed wireless and satellite competitors, and direct the programs that win customers from each and retain the ones Spectrum has.

- Pricing and packaging. Own marketing's position on pricing and packaging and decide the recommendation marketing takes to Offer Management: speed tiers, entry price points, what is included in the rate against what is sold separately, and the offers behind them.

- Claim strategy. Own the claim set for the portfolio. Decide which claims carry the advertising and which hold Spectrum's position in search results and AI answers, approve the claims each product line authors, and make sure every claim survives competitive and legal challenge. Manage the independent measurement vendors the claims rest on and the spend behind them.

- Footprint integration. Own the marketing of bringing the Internet portfolio together across the combined footprint: which products launch where and in what order, how customers on legacy platforms are migrated and what they are told, where naming and positioning converge, and how performance is reported on a combined basis. The program runs for several years and touches every product line.

- Community impact. Lead digital education, affordability and community partnership work with school districts, community organizations and public sector stakeholders.

- Team, budget and investment. Lead and develop the team. Own the marketing budget for the portfolio, decide how headcount, agency capacity and investment are allocated across it, brief and manage the agencies the budget pays for, and report what the spend returned. Hire, coach, set the operating rhythm across a distributed group, and build the bench behind each role.

- Measurement and reporting. Define what success looks like for each launch, build the reporting that shows which launches, segments and claims moved the business, and present portfolio strategy and performance to executive leadership.

- Cross-functional leadership. Lead the work across Product Management, Offer Management, Pricing, Consumer Insights, Integrated Marketing, Performance Marketing, Base Marketing, Sales, Channel, Care, Finance and Legal, and hold each of them to the plan.
