Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Full-Time | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Baptist Medical Center South is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team on a full-time night-shift schedule. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting while supporting the healthcare needs of our growing Jacksonville community.

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients and their significant others/families.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and ongoing care needs.
- Serve as a patient advocate while delivering compassionate care to individuals with a variety of medical, surgical, and emergency conditions, including chronic illnesses and minor injuries.
- Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments and supervise care provided by supportive personnel.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote positive patient outcomes and a high standard of care.

Required Certifications

- ACLS: Required within 6 months of hire for Adult Emergency Departments and Free-Standing Emergency Departments.
- PALS: Required within 1 year of hire for Free-Standing Emergency Departments.
