About this role

Project Overview:

Join a growing community of professionals advancing the next wave of AI. As an AI Trainer, you’ll play a hands-on role by analyzing and providing feedback on data to improve LLM performance, helping ensure that the next generation of AI technology is accurate and trustworthy.

We are seeking a skilled B2B Pricing, CPQ, or Revenue Operations Professional to work as a project consultant in our AI Labor Marketplace. This is not a full-time employment position — you will be engaged as an expert project consultant on a contract basis.

Location: U.S.-based experts only

Engagement: Part-time, project-based expert evaluation work

Work Type: Remote

Project Summary:

This project focuses on understanding how large B2B organizations set up and manage product catalogs, pricing structures, configuration rules, discount rules, and approval logic used throughout Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) processes.

We are seeking professionals with direct, hands-on responsibility for creating, configuring, administering, or maintaining these environments. Contributors will draw on their professional experience to provide insights into real-world processes, systems, responsibilities, and workflows related to product and pricing management.

The project will explore how SKUs, product families, bundles, and configuration rules are maintained; how pricing and discount structures are managed; how approval and exception logic is established; and how changes move through an organization before going live.

Consultant Engagement Terms:

This is a project-based consultant role. Consultants will be paid on a per-project basis; hourly rates are estimates based on anticipated completion time. Consultants control their own schedule, provide their own tools, and may simultaneously provide services to other vendors or employers (subject to those vendors’ allowances).

Responsibilities:

Contributors will:

- Provide expert insights into real-world B2B product catalog, pricing, and CPQ workflows
- Describe how SKUs, product families, bundles, options, and configuration rules are created and maintained
- Explain how price lists, pricing structures, discount rules, margin rules, and exception logic are managed
- Describe how discount limits, approval thresholds, and approval workflows are established
- Explain personal ownership and responsibilities when catalog or pricing changes are required
- Describe the CPQ, CRM, ERP, pricing, or related business systems used to implement changes
- Provide insight into how catalog and pricing changes are reviewed, tested, approved, and moved into production
- Share professional perspectives on common challenges and dependencies involved in managing complex B2B quoting environments

Expected Outcomes:

- Clear insights into how B2B organizations structure and maintain product catalogs and pricing environments
- Detailed understanding of professional workflows used to implement catalog and pricing changes
- Real-world perspectives on pricing, discounting, configuration, and approval processes
- Understanding of ownership and responsibilities across pricing, CPQ, revenue operations, deal desk, and related functions
- Identification of common tools, processes, dependencies, and challenges associated with managing CPQ environments

Qualifications:

- Professional experience in B2B pricing, CPQ, revenue operations, sales operations, deal desk, commercial excellence, monetization, CRM administration, or business applications
- Direct, hands-on experience creating, configuring, administering, or maintaining one or more of the following:

- Product families, bundles, or product options
- Product configuration or compatibility rules
- Price lists or pricing structures
- Discount or margin rules

- Experience using CPQ, CRM, ERP, pricing, or related business systems
- Experience supporting the implementation of product catalog or pricing changes
- Strong understanding of B2B quoting, pricing, or product configuration processes
- Ability to clearly articulate professional workflows, responsibilities, tools, and decision-making processes
- Experience within a large or complex B2B organization is strongly preferred
