About this role

Overview

Keep the Plant Running. Solve Problems. Build Your Skills.

Are you the person people call when a piece of equipment isn't working and you want to figure out why?

Separation Technologies is looking for a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our growing operation in York Haven, PA . This shift will be 3rd shift - 4 am to noon initially then transitioning to 11 pm - 7 am.

This is a practical, problem-solving maintenance role. You'll work directly on the equipment that keeps our operation running, including conveyors, motors, pumps, fans, dryers, separation equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated process equipment.

You don't need to know everything on day one.

We're looking for people with a strong mechanical or electrical foundation who enjoy troubleshooting, working with their hands, learning new systems, and solving problems. If you have industrial maintenance experience, we want to talk with you. If your experience comes from another skilled trade, technical school, apprenticeship, military maintenance, or a similar hands-on environment, we want to hear from you too.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Your work will focus on keeping equipment safe, reliable, and operating efficiently.

Troubleshoot & Repair

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

- Troubleshoot motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, fans, dryers, separators, and related process equipment.

- Respond to equipment issues and help minimize production downtime.

- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.

Work With Modern Equipment

- Support automated process equipment and industrial control systems.

- Troubleshoot sensors, instrumentation, motor controls, and basic PLC-related issues.

- Work with VFDs and other modern industrial technologies.

- Participate in equipment upgrades, commissioning, and improvement projects.

- Learn new technology as our operation continues to evolve.

Improve Reliability

- Inspect equipment and identify potential problems before they become failures.

- Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.

- Recommend improvements that make equipment safer, more reliable, and easier to maintain.

- Work with operations to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.

Keep Maintenance Organized

- Document repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities in MaintainX.

- Complete work orders and maintain accurate equipment history.

- Support maintenance planning and scheduling.

- Help identify critical spare parts and maintain an organized inventory.

Work as Part of the Team

- Partner with plant operations to keep production running.

- Assist with major repairs, outages, contractors, and capital projects.

- Communicate equipment conditions and repair recommendations to plant leadership.

- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow established safety practices.

- Hands-on mechanical, electrical, industrial, or maintenance experience (+3 years).

- Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment.

- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to figure out how things work.
