About this role
Reality Capture Specialist -- San Francisco Bay Area
About AI Automated Inspector (Powered by Reconstruct)
AI Automated Inspector is a "physical Ai" company that transforms reality capture — 360° imagery and video walkthroughs taken on-site — into automatically generated floor plans, digital twins, and spatial analytics. Our platform helps healthcare, construction, and facilities management customers understand and manage their physical spaces with precision and confidence 1000x than previously available.
The Reality Capture Specialist is the person on the ground who makes all of that possible. This role collaborates with an on-site team and walks client facilities with a 360° camera to produce the raw capture data that powers our floor plans, digital twins, and facility condition assessments (FCAs).
Role Overview
As a Reality Capture Specialist you will travel to client sites statewide in California — hospitals, clinics, construction projects, and commercial facilities — and systematically walk each space with a 360° camera. Your captures become the source data for digital twins, as-built floor plans, and FCA reports used by operations executives, facility directors, engineering managers, and compliance teams.
This is a hands-on, detail-driven field role. Success is covering every space while maintaining consistent capture quality, and keeping accurate records of what was captured, where, and in what condition — all while working efficiently around occupied buildings, active job sites, and client schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Capture Operations
- Operate 360° cameras and reality capture hardware to walk and document interior and exterior spaces according to defined capture protocols.
- Plan and execute capture routes that provide full, non-overlapping coverage of assigned areas — corridors, rooms, above-ceiling spaces, mechanical rooms, and building exteriors as scoped.
- Maintain consistent walking pace, camera height, and capture spacing to ensure usable image overlap and scan alignment.
Site & Client Coordination
- Coordinate directly with facility contacts, site supervisors, or property managers to schedule access and understand any building-specifics.
- Represent the Company professionally on client sites, including in occupied healthcare facilities and active construction environments.
- Follow all site-specific requirements in clinical settings and construction sites.
- Travel statewide including frequent overnight travel.
Qualifications
Required
- Comfortable walking up to 30,000 steps per day with a selfie stick.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable traveling with a close-knit team to client sites, including frequent overnight and multi-day trips resulting in over 50% travel.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel by car or air.
What You'll Learn
- How reality capture technology powers digital twins and facility condition assessments used across healthcare, construction, and facilities management.
- Exposure to healthcare facility compliance considerations (Joint Commission, NFPA, life safety) through direct fieldwork in clinical settings.
- How field data connects to downstream "physical Ai" processes — floor plan generation, asset mapping, and spatial analytics.
About the Team
You'll be part of the Company's Field Operations function, working closely with the VP of Operations and the internal team that processes your captures into finished deliverables. Reality Capture Specialists are the foundation of everything the Company delivers — the accuracy of our floor plans, digital twins, and FCA reports starts with the quality of the capture in the field.
This role suits someone who is self-motivated and comfortable working with a close-knit team on-site and takes pride in doing great work.
