About this role

The Company You’ll Join: Veris Insights is a recruiting intelligence and analytics firm dedicated to helping University Recruiting and Talent Acquisition leaders attract, engage, and recruit top talent. We partner with 200+ Fortune 1000 companies, combining candidate insights, employer benchmarking, and real-time market pulses to deliver research, tools, dashboards, and advisory services that solve their hardest recruiting challenges—across DEI, events, employer branding, and more.
About the Recruiting Leadership Council: The Recruiting Leadership Council (RLC) is a membership community for Heads of Talent Acquisition, the senior executives who lead recruiting at large organizations and their key leadership teams. Through the Council, members get:
A trusted peer network: curated connections to other senior TA leaders facing similar challenges
Research and benchmarking: Veris Insights data and custom analysis tailored to their questions
A dedicated advisor: a Council Director who knows their priorities and connects them to the right peers, research, and insight at the right moment
That combination of peer intelligence and research is what sets the RLC apart. Members don’t just join a network; they gain a thought partner.
Why Now: RLC launched recently and has seen strong early results. Members are engaged, the market is responding, and the Council is Veris Insights’ biggest growth priorities. We’re in an expansion phase: growing the team and the membership while keeping the high standards that drove our early success.
That means this role is part advisor and part builder. Some questions about how the Council should work at scale are still open, and you’ll help answer them.
The Role: As a Council Director, you will own a portfolio of 40-60 members, made up of Heads of TA and their senior team members. You’ll be the main point of contact for these members and responsible for their experience and outcomes in the Council.
You’ll help members make progress on real challenges, like improving recruiting efficiency, building internal mobility programs, combating candidate fraud, and using AI in recruiting. You’ll also bring what you learn back to the team to shape how the Council grows.
Who You Are:
You connect the dots. You pull together insights from people, conversations, and data, and turn complexity into clear, practical advice.
You have executive presence. You earn the trust of senior leaders quickly and lead high-stakes conversations with confidence and humility.
You’re a builder. You enjoy creating something new and are comfortable managing ambiguity. When there’s no playbook, you bring curiosity, initiative, and follow-through.
What You’ll Do:

Advise senior TA leaders

- Hold quarterly strategy calls with members to understand their biggest challenges and advise on them

- Answer member questions by drawing on peer experience across the Council and Veris research & benchmarking

- Introduce members to their peers who have solved similar problems

Facilitate executive conversations

- Plan and lead virtual and in-person roundtables where members discuss shared challenges

- Run in-person convenings that bring cohort members together, plus sessions across cohorts

- Lead focused sessions for members’ senior team members (e.g., their deputies and direct reports)

- Prepare members ahead of key events & roundtables so they get the most out of them

Build lasting relationships

- Run onboarding for new members that sets the foundation for long-term engagement

- Build trusted relationships so members see you as their go-to advisor

- Monitor the health and engagement of your cohorts and act early when something needs attention

Shape the product

- Spot patterns across conversations, industries, and data, and turn them into clear guidance for members

- Share what you’re hearing from members to inform strategy and improve the Council

- Work cross-functionally to refine and launch new services

The Requirements:

- 3–5 years of experience in a high-ownership, client- or stakeholder-facing role, such as consulting, executive advisory, or customer success

- Proven ability to build credibility with senior leaders and lead unscripted, executive-level conversations

- Comfort synthesizing insights across conversations, industries, and data to give clear, practical guidance

- A track record of working independently in fast-moving, ambiguous environments

- Strong responsiveness and a bias toward action

- Willingness to travel 1–2 times per month on average (about 30% in peak quarters, 15–20% in off quarters)

The Compensation & Benefits Package:

- Salary: $92,500–$115,000 annually, depending on experience

- Hybrid Schedule: 2-3 days per week in our Washington, DC office, varies per week depending on the time of year

- Time Off: Unlimited PTO, plus monthly mental health days

- Health & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus a $1,000 annual wellness stipend

- Retirement: 401(k) with up to 4% employer match

- Family Support: Paid parental leave

Work Authorization:

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider OPT/CPT holders.

Please keep in mind: Research has shown that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds only apply to jobs when they meet 100% of the requirements vs. their majority counterparts, which apply at a much higher rate if they meet 50-60% of the requirements. So, with that being said, if you are interested in the role, we would love to hear how you can leverage your talents to be an awesome culture add.

Our Values & Culture, In Brief: Talent is in our DNA. It is what we study, who we serve, and the quality we most pride ourselves on internally. In order for our team members to be at their best, we provide individualized benefits and support. At the most basic level, benefits include unlimited PTO, health insurance benefits, and career development opportunities.

We believe a well-rounded and diverse team is the key to our success. To provide the widest range of experiences and perspectives in our member service and internal culture, we never discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, or marital, veteran, or disability status. Please let our recruiter know if there are any accommodations we can provide for you to ensure an equitable and comfortable recruitment process.

We highly value diversity, equity, and inclusion, and this shows up in everything we do. Our research has a significant focus on the experiences of candidates from diverse backgrounds. Internally, we have Employee Resource Groups for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ employees, and Affinity Groups to support women and neurodiversity. Furthermore, we’ve established a Diversity Council to promote a workplace environment that is safe, respectful, and inclusive for all and acts as an active partner to People Ops and Leadership in service of our broader firm-wide DEI goals.
