About this role
Provides essential support to medical imaging technologists and ensures smooth patient flow within the imaging department. This role focuses on patient care, room readiness, and operational support to maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment.
- Assist technologists by escorting patients in and out of exam rooms
- Safely transfer patients on and off exam tables
- Push and maneuver stretchers and wheelchairs to transport patients
- Support technologists with patient positioning during imaging exams
- Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels in exam rooms
- Keep exam rooms clean, organized, and prepared for procedures
- Answer phones and provide courteous communication with patients and team members
- Schedule patient exams as needed
- Ensures patient comfort and safety throughout their visit
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare or medical imaging preferred.
- BLS is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to effectively work in a high-volume team environment
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly and have problem-solving skills, while meeting daily productivity targets
- Must be detail oriented and well organized
