Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of five clinical research professionals, including Senior Clinical Trial Monitors, Clinical Trial Monitors, and a Research Regulatory Coordinator.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in clinical trial monitoring, compliance, and investigator-initiated research to a highly experienced and self-directed team.
- Support and coordinate the activities of the Data Safety and Monitoring Committees in accordance with the institutional Data Safety and Monitoring Plan.
- Ensure the provision of high-quality, accurate data to meet oversight, regulatory, and institutional reporting requirements.
- Organize and oversee all Data Safety and Monitoring Committee functions and responsibilities to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
- Prepare agendas and review materials prior to committee meetings to ensure that all required documents and data are available in accordance with the Data Safety and Monitoring Plan.
- Serve as a primary liaison to Committee Chairs, Program Leaders, Principal Investigators, Regulatory Specialists, and Study Coordinators to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Monitor adherence to institutional policies, procedures, and data safety and monitoring requirements as required by the Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) and other applicable standards.
- Provide credible, experience-based guidance to clinical trial monitors while maintaining and reinforcing a collaborative, independent team culture.
- Support strong investigator engagement and ensure that monitoring practices effectively support investigator-initiated and sponsored research.
- Oversee and support site-level clinical research monitoring activities, including review of trial conduct, data quality, and regulatory documentation.
- Ensure that monitoring practices align with good clinical practice (GCP), clinical trial regulations, and institutional policies.
- Contribute to the development, training, and assignment of work and projects for team members, including indirect management and mentoring.
- Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple assignments with challenging or conflicting deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
- Communicate clearly in both verbal and written form, including the ability to understand and summarize medical terminology and complex clinical trial information.
- Collaborate with clinical operations and regulatory teams to support Phase I through Phase IV clinical trials, including those involving drugs and medical devices.
- Promote a mission-driven environment focused on improving cancer outcomes through high-quality clinical research monitoring and data safety oversight.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related scientific or health-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Experience in environments with strong investigator engagement and support.
- Ability to thrive in a mission-driven setting focused on improving cancer outcomes.
Work Environment
The Senior Administrator oversees a stable, technically strong team of five, including two Senior Clinical Trial Monitors, two Clinical Trial Monitors, and one Research Regulatory Coordinator. The Senior team members already help coordinate workflow and assignment of work, so the incoming leader will build on an established structure rather than implementing a complete reorganization. The role is based at Parker Executive Park in a hybrid work model, with approximately two days per week on site and flexibility in specific in-office days. The monitoring team follows a similarly flexible schedule driven by monitoring requirements; for example, monitors may spend an entire week on site for intensive chart review and work remotely in other weeks. Prior experience managing a remote or hybrid team is not required. The environment emphasizes strong investigator engagement, high-impact oncology research, and a mission-driven culture focused on improving cancer outcomes.
