Job Title: Mechanical Technician II and III
Compensation: $38/hr
Location: Monahans, TX
Schedule: 5/2
Scope
Technicians are assigned to carry out maintenance work.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assists mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery, such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
- Helps prepare proposals and cost estimates
- Actively participates in the use of all on-the-job safety tools
- Reviews job packs
- Identifies any safety issues associated with the job and ensures removal/mitigation prior to working
- Executes work as planned
- Records technical history as required by the workgroup (Global Reliability Tool (GRT), data sheet, etc.)
- Provides feedback on job pack improvements to Execution FLS
- Requests permits and notifies Supervisor if a permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time
Mechanic Duties
- VRU PMs and maintenance
- Ariel JGC/4, JGT/4, and KBZ/6 compressor PM and maintenance
- H-pump, LACT, and SWD pump maintenance
- Cat 3616 and Cat 3516 A4 PM and maintenance
- Ingersoll Rand, Atlas Copco, Quincy, Sullair, and Saylor-Beall air compressor PM and maintenance
- All mechanics are responsible for all of the above when responding to field needs
- Cross-training will be provided in the field
Skills and Qualifications
- Discipline-appropriate certification(s) if applicable, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely describe conditions in the field and recommend remediation steps
- Team player; exhibits effective teamwork when working with persons over whom the person may have no direct authority, and willingness to assist others
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
