Job Description

The Enterprise Money Movement Analytics & Operations Lead will be responsible for building, maintaining, and continuously enhancing the Enterprise Money Movement fact base, a foundational data product that provides an integrated view of how money moves across the Enterprise. The fact base will connect money movement data with client journeys, products, systems, platforms, payment rails, operational processes, and business and technology roadmaps.

This role will lead the collection, mapping, integration, and analysis of complex information from business lines and corporate functions to create a reliable enterprise view of the Bank’s money movement ecosystem. The individual will identify opportunities to improve client experiences, rationalize systems or capabilities, reduce complexity, address gaps, and prioritize future investments. The role will translate large and disparate datasets into clear findings, strategic recommendations, and decision-ready materials for senior stakeholders.

The ideal candidate combines deep money movement domain expertise with advanced data analytics, data mapping, systems analysis, and team leadership capabilities. This individual must be able to operate independently, lead a team, establish credibility with senior stakeholders, and communicate complex findings in a clear and actionable manner. Following the initial development of the fact base, the role will oversee its ongoing operation and serve as the central point for enterprise money movement analysis and related ad hoc analytics requests.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, implementation, and ongoing management of the Enterprise Money Movement fact base data product.
- Establish an integrated view of money movement across client segments, including client journeys, products, systems, platforms, rails, channels, transaction data, operational processes, and roadmaps.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Data Office to collect, organize, validate, and connect data and information provided by business line product teams, operations teams, platform owners, technology partners, and corporate functions.
- Develop and maintain detailed mappings of money movement journeys, transaction flows, systems, platforms, data sources, capabilities, dependencies, and ownership.
- Establish data structures, definitions, standards, taxonomies, and governance practices that support a consistent and reliable enterprise money movement fact base.
- Assess data quality, completeness, consistency, and usability, and work with source owners to address gaps or discrepancies.
- Synthesize large and complex datasets into meaningful insights, findings, visualizations, and actionable recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to optimize money movement across the enterprise, including areas for investment, modernization, rationalization, consolidation, integration, or process improvement.
- Develop data-driven recommendations that support enterprise strategy, product and platform roadmaps, investment decisions, and prioritization discussions.
- Present findings, tradeoffs, opportunities, and recommendations to senior business, product, technology, operations, and corporate function stakeholders.
- Work across Technology, Operations, Data, Risk, Finance, and other corporate functions to connect business requirements with systems, data, operational impacts, and investment considerations.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in money movement, payments, data analytics, systems analysis, financial services, operations, technology, management consulting, or related disciplines.
- Deep knowledge of money movement systems, payment rails, transaction flows, products, platforms, channels, and operational processes across multiple client segments.
- Demonstrated experience building or leading the development of complex data products, analytical frameworks, enterprise fact bases, systems inventories, or integrated data repositories.
- Advanced experience working with large, complex, and disparate datasets to identify relationships, patterns, gaps, and business implications.
- Demonstrated ability to connect client journeys, business processes, products, systems, platforms, and underlying data.
- Experience producing decision-ready findings and recommendations from complex quantitative and qualitative information.
- Proven ability to identify optimization, rationalization, modernization, and investment opportunities through data-driven analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently, establish structure in ambiguous environments, and drive complex work from initial concept through implementation.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills, including experience communicating technical and analytical findings to senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

- Advanced degree in data analytics, data science, computer science, information systems, engineering, finance, economics, business, or a related discipline.
- Expertise across multiple payment rails and transaction types, such as ACH, wires, cards, checks, real-time payments, FedNow, RTP, account-to-account transfers, bill payments, cross-border payments, and internal book transfers.
- Experience mapping complex payment architectures, transaction flows, system dependencies, and end-to-end client journeys within a large financial institution.
- Advanced proficiency with data querying, analytics, visualization, and business intelligence tools.
- Experience creating enterprise taxonomies, data dictionaries, capability maps, system inventories, or common data definitions.
- Knowledge of data architecture, data integration, APIs, data pipelines, master data, metadata management, and data lineage concepts.
- Experience developing analytical products that support executive decision making, investment prioritization, technology modernization, or platform rationalization.
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical analysis into concise business implications and recommendations for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Experience leading enterprise-level analytical or transformation initiatives involving multiple business lines and corporate functions.
