SMS Staffing is hiring Shipping & Receiving Associates in Spring Grove, IL!

Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Associate
Location: Spring Grove, IL 60081
Pay Rate: $17.00–$18.00/hr.
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM 
Position Type: Temp-to-hire

Are you organized, dependable, and good at keeping things moving? We’re looking for Shipping & Receiving Associates who take pride in their work, pay attention to detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Position Summary:
Responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, organizing inventory, preparing shipping documentation, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse.

Key Responsibilities for Shipping and Receiving Associate:

- Pack, unpack, and process orders.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
- Load and unload packages from trucks.
- Prepare shipping labels and maintain accurate records.
- Organize inventory and label deliveries.
- Process returns and report damaged or incorrect shipments.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and shipping regulations.

Qualifications for Shipping and Receiving Associate:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communicator.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lift to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to perform physical warehouse duties safely.
- Able to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the work shift.
