What you'll do

We are looking for an experienced Team Manager to support the day-to-day operations at our Americold Halwyn site managing and developing a high-performing team. You'll focus on safety, productivity, quality and service, while driving continuous improvement.

Shift details: Sunday to Thursday, 4:00pm to 12:30am, with occasional overtime required.

What Experience and Education You Need:

- You will be a hands-on people leader who can balance safety, service, productivity and team engagement in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Previous experience leading or supervising teams in warehousing, distribution, cold storage, logistics or a similar operational environment.
- Strong understanding of shift-based operations, labour planning, workflow coordination and KPI delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to build team capability, manage performance and create a positive, accountable team culture.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety, food safety and operational compliance.
- Confident communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-moving environment.

What Could Set You Apart:

- Experience in cold storage, FMCG, food distribution or other temperature-controlled supply chain environments.
- A practical, hands-on leadership style with the ability to remain calm and focused during busy operational periods.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted working relationships across teams.

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to work in spaces with 140cm of headroom
- Must be able to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures varying from 5 degrees Celsius to minus -22 degrees Celsius, as well as outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold and precipitation)
- Must tolerate heights up to 10 meters. and be able to access elevated products from inside safety cage
- May stand to rebuild pallets with products. Requires tolerance of standing posture up to 5 hours, over an 8-10-12 hour shift. Occasionally required to walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able lift boxes of varying weights from 5 kg up to 25kg. from ground level to 200cm in height and up 30kg to 127cm in height rebuilding pallets without assistance. Must be able to lift and carry product a distance of 6 ft. without mechanical assistance
- Wear clothing, boots, headgear and gloves that protect against the cold.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to maintain reasonably regular and punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards/requirements.
