About this role

We're leading Western Australians to their intelligent energy future.

And we want you to be part of it.

You might know us as Western Australia's largest electricity generator and energy retailer, supporting 1.2 million customers across the state.

But what you might not know, is that we’re investing in renewable energy projects, including wind farms and big batteries, to help build a more sustainable and reliable future.

Our big batteries are now live in Kwinana and Collie, we’re expanding the Warradarge Wind Farm, building the King Rocks Wind Farm, and we have many other projects in the works.

We're a purpose-driven organisation, owned by the people of WA. Our commitment is to ensure all Western Australians have access to secure, reliable, and sustainable energy.

We believe that the benefits of renewable energy aren’t just for some, they're for everyone.

This is where you come in.

Role Description:

The Senior Incident Management & Risk Advisor is an exciting opportunity in the Residential & Customer Operations team based at our Perth Central Park office. This role plays a critical part in managing incidents and operational risks across the Customer Business Unit (CBU), safeguarding business continuity, minimising disruption to customers and operations, and driving continuous improvement across risk and resilience frameworks.

Overseeing the full incident lifecycle, the Senior Incident Management & Risk Advisor leads and coordinates incident responses, bringing together the right stakeholders and expertise to drive outcomes, conduct root cause investigations, and implement strategies to prevent future occurrences. The role also manages the CBU risk register, supports risk assessments, and strengthens operational resilience through effective risk management practices. Working closely with senior leaders, internal teams and strategic partners, this role requires a proactive and collaborative approach, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the confidence to take ownership in complex and fast-paced environments.

Job responsibilities:

- Lead and coordinate the end-to-end management of incidents, bringing together the appropriate stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure timely resolution, effective risk mitigation, and robust post-incident review.

- Lead root cause investigations and analyse incident trends to develop and implement strategies that prevent future occurrences.

- Conduct regular operational risk assessments and maintain the Customer Business Unit (CBU) risk register, ensuring mitigation measures are in place.

- Develop and enhance risk and incident management frameworks, policies, and performance measures to strengthen organisational resilience.

- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencing outcomes, promoting risk awareness and driving collaboration across teams to optimise processes and deliver business outcomes.

What you will bring:

- A bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

- Experience in incident management, operational risk, business continuity or organisational resilience within a complex operational environment.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate complex incidents by engaging the right stakeholders, driving decision-making and maintaining momentum, even when not acting as the technical subject matter expert.

- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build credibility, influence outcomes and work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

- A proactive and self-driven approach, demonstrating initiative, sound judgement and a willingness to take ownership of issues and drive them through to resolution.
