The DigiHub Mare is responsible for the development of applications for the end customers in Germany, the employees of Deutsche Telekom Technik, Deutsche Telekom Field Service and Deutsche Telekom Service and for technical solutions to support customer-side processes.

Purpose

Software Developer develops, designs and implements new or modified software products or ongoing business projects. The purpose of development is the automation of business processes and cross-platform solutions. Handles all phases of the software development lifecycle, especially for small or mid-sized solutions. Follows agreed methodology steps and rituals and takes responsibility for the produced code to independently deliver functional solutions within the team. Shares knowledge with less experienced colleagues. Documents and shares best practices. Constantly develops technical expertise and follows industry trends.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

- Lead development of front-end interfaces and back-end logic for DTT
- Design and build front-end assistants (robots), interfaces (SOAP, REST), customer UIs and system overlays
- Work on applications and functionalities defined in tickets in cooperation with the steering team and Product Owner
- Analysis of the requirements and communication with internal stakeholders
- Use agreed programming languages and tools to develop automation solutions
- Creative approach to solving complex technical challenges
- Active participation in research & development projects
- Participate in code reviews and quality checks

Qualifications

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

Have knowledge in:

- PHP 8+ and Object-Oriented Programming 
- Symfony Framework (or similar, e.g. Laravel, CakePHP)
- PostgreSQL / MySQL / MariaDB
- JavaScript + TypeScript
- Tailwind CSS
- React
- Docker
- PHPUnit, Vitest
- Puppeteer / Selenium – Nice to have
- Python / C++ / Golang / Rust – Nice to have

Speak:

- English – Upper-Intermediate (B2)
- German – Nice to have

Other criteria or requirements:

- Several years of experience working in the IT industry
- Good knowledge and understanding of development principles like SOLID, DRY, KISS, YAGNI
- Advanced experience with programming and application design
- Experience with migration of legacy applications to new codebases and PHP versions
- Experience with asynchronous processing (cron jobs, queues)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines – design, modification, debugging
- Good skills in integrating systems and applications
- Good experience with Git and GitLab
- Good understanding of cloud systems, DevOps concepts and tooling
- Willingness to learn and teach new technologies
- Being self-motivated and organized
- Solid communication skills (oral and written), and willingness to develop them further

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 3100€ /brutto.
