Position Overview
We are seeking a Research Intern based in Singapore to support our coverage of China's datacenter and AI ecosystem. You will work alongside our analysts to turn technical and market research into industry insights for institutional clients.

Responsibilities

- Support the maintenance of the SemiAnalysis China Datacenter Industry Model by collecting, cleaning, and structuring data on Chinese hyperscalers, AI labs, and datacenter developers.
- Help maintain and update a location-by-location tracker of the Chinese datacenter industry, including self-build, leasing, and major AI compute clusters.
- Monitor upstream and downstream developments that affect China's datacenter buildout, such as LLM progress, regulatory changes, and semiconductor constraints, and summarize them for the team.
- Assist with client questions by gathering and organizing relevant research.

Requirements

- Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in finance, economics, computer science, or a related field.
- Fluent in Mandarin, with Chinese reading proficiency sufficient to work with company disclosures, policy documents, and industry data.
- Demonstrated interest in the digital infrastructure value chain through coursework, prior internships, personal projects, or writing.
- Strong attention to detail. Comfortable working with large sets of raw data.
- Proficient with spreadsheets and building simple models from fragmented information; experience with AI tools is a plus.
- A team player with good communication skills and a commitment to timely delivery.
- Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn from technologists and analysts.
