At Google Operations Center we help Google users and customers solve problems and achieve their goals—all while enjoying a culture focused on improving continuously and being better together. We work hard, we play hard, and we want you to join us!

We are looking for a Training Delivery Specialist who combines deep hands-on software development expertise with a passion for capability building and adult learning. In this role, you will bridge the gap between engineering and learning operations by assessing capability gaps, designing real-world technical curricula, and delivering high-impact training programs to our engineering and operations teams.

Responsibilities:

1. Technical Training Delivery & Enablement

- Deliver engaging, hands-on technical training sessions, live coding bootcamps, workshops, and lab environments across classroom and virtual formats.
- Demystify complex front-end and web networking concepts (e.g., state management, bundle optimization, DNS resolution workflows, SSL/TLS, 301/302 redirects, canonicalization, and edge caching).
- Facilitate code walkthroughs, debug clinics, and architectural design reviews for learners.

2. Curriculum Design & Content Creation

- Design, build, and continuously update end-to-end technical learning paths, hands-on lab exercises, and evaluation rubrics based on adult learning principles.
- Create production-aligned coding exercises adhering to modern standards, clean code principles, testability, and responsive UI performance.
- Partner with engineering leads to convert operational post-mortems and emerging tech updates into digestible training modules.

3. Capability Assessment & Learning Impact

- Proactively assess current-state skills across teams within the Organization and build proactive development roadmaps.
- Implement pre- and post-training assessments, practical coding benchmarks, and capstone project reviews to measure tangible skill acquisition.
- Leverage data and metrics to track learner progress, evaluate business impact, and optimize learning interventions.

4. Stakeholder & Domain Collaboration

- Partner with Senior Engineering Managers, Technical Leads, UX Designers, and  training partners to keep training curricula aligned with current architecture and business needs.
- Serve as the resident Subject Matter Expert on front-end best practices, browser performance, and web delivery ecosystems.

Technical Scope & Requirements

- Front-End Architecture: Deep hands-on experience in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, Modern JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript. Strong working expertise in Angular (components, services, RxJS, lifecycle hooks, state management).
- Web Networking & Traffic Routing: Strong practical understanding of DNS management (A/AAAA records, CNAME, ALIAS, MX, TXT), domain mapping, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, reverse proxies, and URL redirect handling (301, 302, server vs. client routing, regex rewrite rules, canonical tags).
- Modern Tooling & Build Pipelines: Experience with build systems and bundlers (Webpack, Vite), package managers (npm/yarn), and version control (Git branching, code review workflows, and CI/CD basics).
- CMS & Content Delivery: Practical understanding of traditional and Headless CMS architectures (e.g., Contentful, Adobe Experience Manager, Brightspot, or Drupal) and how front-end layers consume headless APIs.
- Performance & Quality: Expertise in web performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, code-splitting, caching strategies) and clean code standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 7–10+ years of total experience, including:
- At least 4–5 years of hands-on software development experience with front-end / full-stack web applications.
- At least 2–3 years in a role involving technical training delivery, bootcamps, developer enablement, or structured technical mentoring.
- Instructional Competence: Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into structured, learner-friendly modules and hands-on coding labs.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with comfort leading live code sessions and presenting to senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Familiarity with Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and serverless hosting/edge computing (Cloudflare, CloudFront, or Firebase Hosting).
- Familiarity with backend integration patterns (RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Node.js).
- Experience utilizing data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio) to present learning analytics.
- LMS & Tools: Familiarity with modern Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital learning platforms, and lab sandboxes
- Certifications in Project Management (PMP, Agile/Scrum) or Process Improvement (Six Sigma Green/Black Belt).

Benefits

- We support you with competitive wages and with comprehensive health care including medical, dental and vision coverage
- We support your family with gender-neutral baby bonding leave, 26 week birth-parent maternity leave, and generous life, accident and disability insurance minimums
- Employees who work onsite can enjoy free meals and snacks, and fun onsite experiences
