About this role
At Ford, we don’t just make history, we make the future. Ford Pro is our dedicated commercial vehicle growth engine, delivering integrated solutions that keep commercial fleets running smoothly and efficiently.
As a Fleet Aftermarket Business Manager , you will sit at the dynamic intersection of external commercial relationship management and modern, data-driven automotive operations. Acting as a strategic partner to our key fleet accounts, you will bridge the gap between Fleet Sales and the Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD). Rather than handling routine administration, you will focus on maximising vehicle uptime, driving customer retention, and proactively consulting with fleet operators to introduce tailored aftermarket products, maintenance packages, and connected vehicle capabilities.
This role offers exceptional national visibility across Ford’s UK operations. Operating on a hybrid model, your time will be balanced between our state-of-the-art Dunton Campus (the engineering powerhouse behind the Ford Transit) and visiting fleet customers nationwide. Whether collaborating internally with Product Development, Warranty, and the FordLiive Centre, or meeting fleet directors on-site, you will be instrumental in safeguarding brand loyalty and keeping Britain’s businesses moving.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- B2B Fleet or Automotive Service Experience: Proven track record in a customer-facing role within the automotive, fleet, or commercial transport sector (e.g., Fleet Aftermarket, Fleet Account Management, Fleet Sales, Fleet Business Development, or Dealer Service Operations).
- Consultative Relationship Management: Demonstrated success in consultative selling, client retention, and managing multi-stakeholder relationships at operational and managerial levels.
- Advanced Data & Excel Competence: Confident handling and manipulating vehicle/fleet datasets (e.g., managing VIN lists, advanced sorting/filtering, lookups, and reporting) to draw actionable business insights.
- Strong Communication & Influencing Skills: Ability to navigate complex customer conversations, articulate technical or operational details clearly, and build collaborative bridges across cross-functional departments.
- Mobility & Commitment to Travel: A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide for client meetings, alongside regular office attendance at our Dunton Campus.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with light commercial vehicles (LCVs), commercial fleet maintenance operations, or connected telematics platforms.
- Prior experience working within an automotive OEM or large commercial dealer network.
