Overview

To our continuing expansion, we currently have an opening for a Highways Engineer to support multi-disciplinary projects executed offshore from our Bangalore, India office.

Working in a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers, providing a professional design service to our clients, this is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to develop their international experience with a world-renowned consultant.

Your role

As part of the Highways team, you will be responsible for the design and checking of a wide range of elements associated with highway projects. Your responsibilities will include:

- Supervising designers and drafting staff within projects.
- Maintaining technical quality standards and mentoring junior designers.
- Supporting project delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Liaising with clients in a responsive and customer-focused manner.

About you

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed institution.
- 5 to 12 years of relevant consultancy experience in UK, US, or Middle East highway projects and related infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in delivering various stages of highway design, from preliminary design to as-built stages.
- Sound understanding of highway design codes and standards such as DMRB, AASHTO, KSA, Qatar, and UAE standards.
- Experience in the design of grade-separated junctions.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering highway projects.
- Proficiency in highway design software, including Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and AutoCAD.
- Experience in implementing quality standards and procedures.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
